Kublai Khan Sends troops to South Song
Yesterday Kublai Khan sent troops to the South Song Dynasty. Kublai wants more land so he can expand his Mongol empire. Kublai Khan wants the mighty Mongolian Empire to be the best and the biggest. Kublai Khan is ruling most of Asia, Europe and Northern China. Kublai Khan is irresponsibly beginning this war because he does not know the strength of the South Song Dynasty.
Kublai Khans army does not know the consequences of causing this battle between the South Song. This battle could end the Mongol empire because the Mongol empire does not no how strong the South Song is. Many farmers near the Yangzi River Valley could be between the battle and they can lose their production of crops, animals and lose their homes. The population can be decreased because the battle could kill thousands of lives in the Mongol empire and the South Song dynasty. Innocent people should not die because of one persons orders.
Some people might say that the Mongols could win the battle between the South Song and get more land for their people. Also that land could help the Mongol Empire produce more resources. For example the South Song was famous for their Silk. The Mongols could get that Silk production and can trade with other regions. For example Rome wanted a lot of Silk and in return Rome gave gold, glassware and other goods. Also if the Mongols win the battle between the South Song they can reach other lands and conquer other lands. For example the Mongols could conquer south east Asia. However it’s a bad idea because many Mongols could die in battle.
Kublai Khan is so focused on expanding his empire. Kublai Khan should be focused on new trading routes and a strong relationship with other Empires. Kublai Khan can make allies with other empires and those allies can help his empire in battle and financially. I wonder if the Mongol empire will thrive.
