Art was really a important in the Yuan Dynasty. There were paintings, drawings, and pottery. Many drawings were about farming and nature. Also there were some drawings of Mongol warriors with their horses battling enemies. Some drawings were depressing because it showed poor people struggling in life. Many drawings represented nature because some of them had mountains, rivers, lakes and animals. Pottery was a religious form of art in the Yuan Dynasty. Many Statues and pots had Buddha on. Many statues were statues of Buddha. Many of those statues were blue and green. Paintings usually had bright colors to represent animals or humans. Many animals such as cranes, birds and other animals were in paintings. In some paintings, Chinese scholars were shown.

Literature was a famous form of entertainment in the Yuan dynasty. Many performances were played by actors in the Yuan Dynasty. A famous performance in the Yuan Dynasty was “Snow in Midsummer”. In many performances had a lot of drama. Chinese women were in most performances. Novels made an impact in the Yuan Dynasty. A important novel in that dynasty was “The Water Margins”. That novel changed the Yuan Dynasty by giving love and brotherhood to the Dynasty.
Music
One of the most famous instruments in the Yuan Dynasty was the Lute. There are many versions of the Lute. There is a Lute you can blow in or use as a violin. The most famous one is the guitar version of the Lute. The Lute was played in important ceremonies in the Yuan Dynasty. The Lute was one of the most famous instruments in the Yuan Dynasty.
