Religion and Beliefs Systems of Yuan Dynasty
There were two major Religions in the Yuan Dynasty. The first religion immigrated a lot through Asia. The religion is Buddhism that started in India and immigrated to China and South East Asia. Buddhism is a religion that has one leader and his name is Buddha. When you are practicing Buddhism the point is to reach enlightenment. If you don’t reach enlightenment you become a person or a animal that is going to live a unhappy life with punishments. The rulers of the Yuan Dynasty accepted all kinds of religions and religious practices. All kinds of people and many places accepted Buddhism.
Shamanism is a religion of the Mongols. The believers of
Shamanism believed in a person Jinn. Jinn was a god and if you believed
in him you became a true Mongol, warrior and person. Shamanism was a
belief system that involves healing that gets all of the bad spirits out
of your body. The Shamans use incense, ashes, and natural medicines to
cure and to relax. The goal is to have a better life and to feel
peaceful inside. Both of these religions are relaxing and help people to
have a sense of peacefulness.
